Patch 16.14, 16.15, 16.16, 16.1764 of 172 champions87,348 matches analyzed

The current Top tier list for Diamond+ highlights Varus and Riven as Tier S champions, while Malphite, Jax, and Aatrox occupy Tier A. These five picks are the most impactful based on their high performance across 22,249 total games analyzed for Patch 16.2.1.

Varus holds the highest win rate among the top performers at 55.3 percent, followed by Riven at 53.7 percent. Jax also maintains a strong positive win rate of 50.8 percent, which is well above the average listed win rate of 47.80 percent for this rank.

While the data does not explicitly define blind pick safety, Malphite and Varus are the most contested with ban rates of 36.4 percent and 26.7 percent respectively. Aatrox and Jax are also frequently picked at around 6 percent, suggesting they are versatile choices in the current Diamond+ environment.

Champions like Varus and Riven are dominant because their win rates of 55.3 percent and 53.7 percent significantly outperform the general average. The high ban rates for Malphite and Varus indicate that Diamond+ players view their kits as particularly difficult to counter in the current meta.

You should review this tier list with every new patch to see how win rates for champions like Varus and Riven fluctuate. With 11,125 matches analyzed in this data set, these trends provide a reliable snapshot of what is currently working in high-level play.

With 159 champions listed and only the top five having pick rates between 5.8 percent and 6.6 percent, many champions are played less frequently. While they may offer niche advantages, they often lack the consistent statistical power seen in Riven's 53.7 percent win rate.

Tier S placements for Riven and Varus are driven by their high win rates and healthy pick rates around 6 percent. A high ban rate, such as Malphite's 36.4 percent, also signals a champion's strength and influence, ensuring they remain high in the tier rankings regardless of a lower raw win rate.
