Generating matchup guide for Gnar vs Renekton...
Analyzing champion abilities and cooldowns...

Win by out-spacing him in the early levels to create a health lead. Use your range to prevent him from safely building Fury, then finish him with a Mega combo when he's low.
This is a spacing-check matchup where you play as a kite-heavy lane bully in Mini Gnar and a CC-locking tank in Mega Gnar. Renekton wants to use his double dash to close the gap and burst you, but you win by kiting him out and only committing when you have the Mega Gnar health and CC advantage.
Renekton's allows him to close the gap twice, and his point-and-click makes it hard to escape if you misposition.
| Ability | Threat | What It Means For You |
|---|---|---|
| Med | Watch his red bar; at 50+ Fury, his next , , or is significantly stronger. | |
| Med | Aoe swing that heals him. Do not stand near your own minions or he will heal more while poking you. | |
| High | Point-and-click stun. If he has 50 Fury, it breaks your momentum if he hits you mid-air. | |
| High | Double dash if he hits a unit. Never stand in a line where he can dash through a minion to reach you. | |
| Med | Gains health and deals AoE damage. Bait this out before committing to a Mega Gnar all-in. |
Keep the wave slightly on your side of the lane. This forces Renekton to overextend to farm, giving you more space to kite him with .
Slow push in Mini Gnar to build Rage. Once you are about to turn Mega, crash the wave and look for a dive or a deep ward while he's stuck under tower.
